The Wizard101 game is a 3D MMORG. In this game, you assume the role of a student who battles creatures in a few different roles in order to save the Spiral. Players accept tasks in which they complete in order to gain new weapons and equipment, earn currency or gold, and learn new spells.

People of all ages play this game, even though this game was originally made with only preteens in mind. Players can change their character’s appearance and designate his or her name. Once you have created your character, you must choose one of the seven magic schools, each standing for: Fire, Ice, Storm, Life, Death, Myth and Balance. Based on the school chosen, this will determine what types of skills that your character is able to learn. As you progress in this game, more opportunities and perks are open to you.

Your character can participate in combat to retrieve the spoils, which can be as follows: gold, experience, equipment, treasure cards, pet snacks, plant seeds, or reagents. Due to many young players, there are three levels of chat which go from very restrictive to allowing more freedom.

This game is free-to-play forever, but you are free to pay a monthly membership subscription or pay-as-you-go to get access to more worlds and other game play not accessible by free-to-play users.
