It’s probably not going to happen simultaneously with the major PC release, but it does appear that a console version of Guild Wars 2 is in the works. According to the spokesperson at NCSoft, a small team is working on the small-box version. There has been no official word on which console, or on the potential release schedule.

Guild Wars 2 will require an up-front client software purchase, but no monthly fee to play the game. ArenaNet is developing the game with a focus on dynamic events that alter the world for each individual player, and is adding in a number of different playable races. Many of the same classes will return in this sequel to the original Guild Wars title, along with several new ones.
