The Hunger Games has nothing on Guild Wars 2‘s PvP content. In fact, the most recent – and last – beta event closed with a Hunger Games-inspired PvP match, the Hunger Royale.
Going through a series of portals dumped the players into a special match zone wearing a new outfit and sunglasses. Players were also equipped with energy weapons. Along with the threat of all the other players, those in the match also had to deal with a harsh environment and a steady health degeneration.
Guild Wars 2 is, like its predecessor, free to play. The game is set to release by NCSoft on August 28, and is currently in development by ArenaNet.
