After some really severe staff layoffs, Funcom is now growing again and has already brought a few people back onto the payroll, according to an interview with Joel Bylos on the Flash Point Podcast. You can listen to the full show on the Oceanic Gamer website.

Funcom has been nothing but completely transparent about the state of both the company and its newest MMO The Secret World. Right now, the largest complaint in the community of the game pertains to a lack of content. Funcom is addressing this by releasing monthly content updates called Issues, and by working on the first big expansion of content with an all new mission zone in Toyko.

Those players who have struggled with the solo instance boss fights during the story missions can breathe a sigh of relief, as the difficulty of these will be nerfed soon. Funcom understands that the lore nerds probably aren’t also the most skilled at the game, and they definitely want all of the story content to be accessible.
