It looks like Wizardry Online’s launch will be delayed until at least January 30, according to an announcement from Sony Online Entertainment on the game’s official forums. Community Manager Piestro broke the news that the launch was moving from their expected date of January 17 until later in the month.
While most potential players and posters were positive about the change, a few complained about the lack of notice provided. However, it must be said that game developers have a responsibility to put out quality work, and when the game isn’t meeting those expectations, delays happen. The developers at SOE most likely hoped to make their deadline but ultimately decided to hold off for the good of the game. That commitment must take precedence over notifying the player base.
