Wargaming.Net, the developer of military action MMOs World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships, has purchased BigWorld Technology. The company came with a $45 million price tag, according to industry reports.
Wargaming.Net has already been using BigWorld developed software in their games, and folding them under the larger company umbrella will make Wargaming’s online titles more secure and streamline the development process of both content updates and future games.
You can check out the full suite of “World of” games on Wargaming.Net’s official website, including those currently in development. Only World of Tanks has been officially launched with the other, similar titles currently in beta testing and earlier development phases.
